  • Grinding: wear and tear in hammer and roller mills; feeder maintenance, element replacement (screen, hammers, rollers), lubrication
  • Mixing: spray system maintenance, replacement of worn parts, lubrication, weighing and dosing units, micro-dosing sytem and
    load cells
  • Pelleting: motor alignment, shear pin removal and replacement, lubrication, roll gap adjustment, die and roller changeover, conditioner and retentioner maintenance, cooler maintenance
  • Mechanical conveying: screw and trough chain conveyers, bucket elevators
  • Miscellaneous: magnets, sieves/ screens, valves and flaps, filters, separators
  • In all sections: troubleshooting and hands-on practice

Topics Electrical

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety
  • Overview of sensors and actuators in feed milling (technology, function, handling)
  • Scales and dosing units
  • Automation and plant control systems
  • Plant control documentation in automation (e.g. wiring diagram)
  • Practical troubleshooting
